As for the Tijjaniyya order in the United States of America, it is mentioned in the book Islamic Sufism in the United States of America by Dr. Azeer Al-Kubaiti, Volume 2, page 210, where he said: The Tijjaniyya order has taken the lead in academic research in America…
He also said on page 215: Among their characteristics is that they are united despite their large numbers, and their name does not change… They are active in da‘wah (Islamic propagation)… They constitute 80% among African Muslims and 20% among native (indigenous) people.
Imam Hassan Cisse (may Allah have mercy on him) said at the forum held in Morocco in 2008: For our part, speaking of Allah’s blessings as He said, “And proclaim the blessings of your Lord,” I have introduced the Tijjaniyya order into America and across its various states—New York, Washington, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, California, and Memphis, Tennessee—and even to Bermuda and Trinidad, as well as to South Africa in its cities Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. Zawiyas (spiritual centers) have begun to spread in all these places, praise be to Allah, first and last.
