Tijaniya in London Europe

The method has spread in Europe in the last decades thanks to some of its sheikhs. In the book (Tabaqat al-Tijaniyya) by Muhibi al-Din al-Tu`mi, page 378, he said:

Abd al-Samad Borisi, from Italy in Europe, converted to Islam at the hands of the Egyptian Sheikh Muhammad al-Hafiz al-Tijjani and took the Tijaniyya order from him. He went to Italy and established a Tijaniyya zawiya there. One time I saw with him a book by Abu Hamid al-Ghazali that he had translated into Italian and printed. I heard from him several times that he had translated several books on Sufism into Italian and printed them.

I saw his Italian wife with him, a Muslim woman wearing a hijab.
Sheikh Abdul Samad Abdul Wahid was able to introduce the order to Italy and then it continued to enter England, Albania and the Balkans. Praise and thanks be to God.

In some sources, as follows:

Sheikh of the Tijaniya Order in Italy, Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Samad Abdel Wahed El Tijani, of Italian origin, in the Tijanian Zawia in Oued Souf, Algeria…

Colonel Al-Tijani told me that he declared his conversion to Islam in the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Mosque in Egypt when he was twenty years old, and he adhered to the Maliki school of thought. He took the method from its sheikh in Egypt and the sheikh of hadith science in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Sheikh Sidi Muhammad Al-Hafiz Al-Tijani Al-Masry…

Sheikh Sidi Abdel Samad opened his first zawiya in Trieste, Italy, and in 1989, when he visited us in the Tijaniya zawiya in Tamasine, he told me that many Italians had converted to Islam at his hands, some of whom were university professors and senior academic staff in Italy…

The sheikh of the Tijaniya order in Italy translated many books, and I still remember some of them. At the beginning of his career, he published the translation of the Life of the Prophet by Martin Lings, and translated into Italian from Arabic the book “Riyadh al-Saliheen” by al-Nawawi al-Shafi’i, may God be pleased with him.

He also translated the book “The Beginning of Guidance” from Arabic to Italian by Hujjat al-Islam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, may God sanctify his noble soul, who died in 1111 AD.

He later became the director of a series of Sufi texts in Italy, and translated the book “The Identification of the People of Sufism” by Al-Kalabadi, may God be pleased with him.

He devotes his valuable time in particular to publishing texts and studies related to the thought of Sheikh Al-Akbar Sidi Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, may God be pleased with our Sheikh Sidi Ahmed Al-Tijani, about him and his school, as well as his translation of many texts of the Tijaniya order.

In this sense, he recently launched a brand for a permanent cooperation with the Lebanese publisher Albouraq from Paris to publish important texts by the Tijaniya order. The first volume that appeared was his annotated translation of Al-Tasfawi’s book “The Divine Conquest,”

Soon the complete French translation of the book “Baghiyat al-Mutafir” by Sidi Muhammad al-Arabi ibn al-Sayyih al-Tijjani, may God be pleased with him, will appear.

Yes, Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Samad Al-Tijani visited us in 2008 at the invitation of the Sheikh of the Tijaniyya Order, Professor Dr. Sheikh Sidi Muhammad Al-Eid Al-Tijani Al-Tamasini, at the International Tijani Forum, which was attended by about 27 countries, and all those who attended were Tijani, Maliki, preachers of Islam in the sense of the Sunnis and the community, the four schools of thought, and praise be to God…

At that moment, the presenter told me that the corner in Trieste had been closed and I had moved to a place away from the noise of the cities

Yes, Sheikh Abd al-Samad Abd al-Wahid Yahya al-Tijani told me that Europeans are interested in studying Islam and Islamic Sufism, and are absorbed in translating and studying the greatest concepts of Sheikh Sidi Ibn Arabi, may God be pleased with our Sheikh Sidi Ahmed al-Tijjani and him.
