The Tijaniya order in Sierra Leone and Guinea Kanakry
The Tijaniya order was introduced into Sierra Leone and Ghana by Sheikh Ibrahim inyass Al-Kolkhi
As stated in the book (rijalun wa adwarun tahta zilli Sahib Al-Faida), West Africa File, page 148, during the Sheikh’s visit to Kanakry and Sierra Leone, he said:
In Sierra Leone, Muhammad the Great went to visit his brother Al-Mustafa in an academic school there, and there was no Muslim in the school except that brother.
There, Al-Mustafa told his brother Muhammad Al-Kabeer his vision, which was that he saw the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, coming to their school to inspect the conditions of the Muslims, and upon him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, there was a great light.
This is the vision, and in the morning they tried to turn off the electric lights, but they did not turn off, so he knew that this was derived from the light of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, which he saw in a dream, and then Muhammad the Great gave the good news to his brother the Chosen One that Sheikh Ibrahim, may God be pleased with him, had come.
Thus, people flocked to it and embraced Islam in droves at the hands of the Sheikh, may God be pleased with him, and this whole scene took place in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone.
